Gilt bronze, of thick rounded form cast with the upper half in a roped or spiral motif which was particularly favored by Vikings. 1.3mm width at the base and 3.1mm at the top. Won from its time of use. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored for modern wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom's sword.
