Good quality with 1.4mm rounded face band flaring to the shoulders. Lenticular bezel which was engraved in two areas, scraped or filed out in its working life. This ring served its original owner then was used after his passing. Since the signet was unique to him and bound him and his heirs, it was necessary to obliterate them if it was to be worn by an heir after his death. The obliteration is heavily tooled and meant not just to remove the marks, but to advertise their removal. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with Certificate of Authenticity. Rare wearable size.
