Good quality with 1.4mm rounded face band flaring to the shoulders. Oval bezel cut with a three member figure, probably the Zoroasterian fire altar (some wear from use). See Ancient Rings, Pollio, p.81. Serving as a signet which identified the owner and could be used to seal legal matters. (In Ben Hur, the title character identifies himself by stamping Messala’s tablet with his ring which bears the signet of Quintus Arrius.) Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift box with Certificate of Authenticity.
