Gilt bronze, size 8. 4.4mm ridged face band with the pronounced faceted Roman base nub. Raised bracketed tear shape shoulders. Raised lenticular bezel with centered pupil representing the evil eye. It was believed that the evil eye or evil glance could cause misfortune and that it was necessary to employ protection in the form of an amulet or ring which could repel the evil. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
