Silvered bronze, size 7 ½ with 4.7mm ridged face band with the Roman base nub. Stepped and flared shoulders. Raised lenticular bezel representing the squinting eye. The edges raised and the field with scrolling matrix, perhaps with spiritual significance. It was believed that the evil eye or evil glance could cause misfortune and that it was necessary to employ protection in the form of an amulet or ring which could repel the evil. Professionally refurbished with the pure silver surface restored for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
