Gilt bronze, size 9 with round section band, 1.5mm thick. Raised round bezel with concentric circles representing the eye. Intended to protect the wearer against those empowered to inflict misfortune and harm through a malevolent gaze, a common theme in Roman pagan religion. As found condition with much of the original gold surface intact. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
