Anglo-Saxon, see Ancient Rings, Pollio, p.42. Bronze, originally plated, now with dark patina from burial as found. The underside of the bezel with light verdigris. Oval form band, about size 8 ½, 2.8mm flaring to the shoulders. Oval bezel with ten concentric circles to the edge and one centered. Pollio suggests that the positioning of the circles had significance, probably spiritual, now not understood. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
