A bold version of a fashion which flourished in the 14th century. Nearly always made for ladies, this example appears to have been made for a man It is gilt bronze, size 10 with 2.5mm low rounded band. The oval section bezel, rising from the band is stipple bordered enclosing a stipple cross. It is flanked by thickened shoulders mounting fins and the bezel has three matching fins each side. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored for modern wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. A very handsome and historic ring.
