Gilt bronze, size 6 3/4 with 2.4mm rounded face band and raised oval bezel with radials at the edges. That form is found on other Byzantine rings of the period and is probably a reference to the Wheel of Fortune and the Goddess Fortune who arbitrarily decides our fate. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
