Late 9th-early 11th century AD. Size 3 ¼ for wear on the small finger between the first two joints as was the custom. 3.2mm width with a depressed band off center. That is sometimes encountered and definitely deliberate, though the significance is not known. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
