Cambridgeshire, England, 866-1067 AD. Round form, size 9 3/4. 1.6mm at the bottom swelling to 2.6mm at the top. The top two thirds is ridged with a deeply modeled roped motif. The spiral or helix was a favorite Viking form. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. Vikings exchanged wedding rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
