9th-10th century, Cambridgeshire England. Bronze, with a rounded face and of broad 5.5mm width. Made with a central core to distribute the molten metal and heat. The core was then laboriously removed by hand with the remnants still visible. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Surface lightly textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
